Dutch Flower Foundation supports Grandparents’ Day Foundation
Flowers bring people together. That is why we will be supporting the Roses and Stories initiative by the Grandparents’ Day Foundation for the next three years.
On 2 October, the Italian Festa dei Nonni – Grandparents’ Day – was celebrated in The Hague. Children, older people and representatives from the Netherlands and Italy came together to share flowers, stories and an Italian lunch. During the celebration, our chair, Bob, presented a donation to the Grandparents’ Day Foundation.
This initiative brings children and older people together in a special way, with flowers serving as the starting point for encounters, conversations and meaningful memories.
The project shows that flowers are much more than a beautiful product. They can show someone they are cared for, bring a smile to their face and bring generations closer together. This closely aligns with our mission to support social initiatives that have a positive impact on people and society.
We are proud to contribute to an initiative that helps combat loneliness and highlights the power of flowers to bring people together.
