About Dutch Flower Foundation
25 years ago, the OZ Group (of the Van Zijverden family) from Aalsmeer and the Van Duijn Group (of the Van Duijn family) from Naaldwijk decided to merge into Dutch Flower Group (DFG). At the same time, on August 4, 2000, the Dutch Flower Foundation (now known as the Dutch Flower Foundation) was founded. The Foundation would make a social contribution to the well-being of people in need, and in particular children, in countries where DFG was active. Now, 25 years later, we can proudly look back on more than 1,000 projects to which we have made a significant contribution. In 2023 we will have completed 65 projects, with a total contribution from DFF of more than €250,000!

Board DFF
The board of DFF consist of employees of DFG companies:
- Bob Goedemans (Coloriginz), chairman
- “In my extensive international career, with projects in Africa and South America, I feel comfortable in diverse cultures. My special bond with Ecuador, the birthplace of my wife, has ignited my commitment to supporting opportunities for children. Together with Coloriginz and Dutch Flower Foundation, I actively contribute to their mission: ‘making life colourful, from the heart.’ My professional background and personal involvement make this a valuable commitment to a colorful future.”
- Martin Vingerling (Hamiplant), treasurer
- “In addition to my role as Chief Financial Officer at Hamiplant, I have been serving as the treasurer of the Dutch Flower Foundation for about 4 years now. I didn’t hesitate for a second when I was asked to take on this role, as I find it both honorable and meaningful to contribute to the Dutch Flower Foundation. I have a lot of affinity with the work, especially because my daughter Iris Vingerling has been living and working in development aid in Uganda for a few years now, currently with Child Care Africa.”
- Katinka Eelman (Holex Flower), general board member
- “Making a positive impact on the lives of others. If you can do this, you should always go for it! Proud that we are making this possible with Dutch Flower Foundation.”
- Iris de Waal (The Floral Connection), general board member
- “Helping others and making the world a better place, even through the smallest gestures, is something I truly believe in. I believe even the smallest acts can have a big impact!”
- Martin van Rijn (Van Dijk Flora), general board member
- “Where you are born often determines much of your life’s trajectory, something beyond your control. However, what you can do is dedicate yourself to helping others.”
- Gerda Stokhof (Dutch Flower Group), secretary
- “The first time I traveled to Senegal, I encountered albinos; in many African countries, they live in dire conditions and are often ostracized and even killed. A – seemingly small – contribution to the village enabled the construction of a chicken coop and the purchase of chickens, which had a tremendous impact on the residents. The encounter with the albino village left a profound impression on me, and when a vacant position arose within the board of our Foundation, I didn’t hesitate for a moment; I wanted to be part of it! After all, we are responsible for the world in which we live.”
